Deborah A. Burke

As Marketing Communications Director for the City of Malden, Deborah Burke plays a major role in promoting the City of Malden to new residents and businesses. She is also extensively involved in several of the city’s key economic development initiatives, working alongside Malden Redevelopment Authority (MRA) and city leaders on such projects as the downtown Malden revitalization plan, neighborhood restoration projects, the River’s Edge project, a joint venture with the cities of Medford and Everett, and the successful citywide beautification program. She is also a liaison for the MRA and Mayor’s office to the Malden Chamber of Commerce, has worked successfully to integrate the arts in the downtown and serves as a member of the Malden School Committee’s Public Relations Subcommittee. A graduate of Suffolk University, she is a former member of the Board of Directors for Medford Savings Bank.
