Diane Lind

A 1954 graduate of Malden High School, Diane continued her education at Tufts University and graduated in 1958 with a major in English and a minor in Speech and Drama. She also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching. Her teaching career began in 1958 at Wakefield Public Schools and she served that community as a teacher and then Chair of the English Department until 1997.

Diane served as a part-time faculty member at Emerson College and Northern Essex Community College. Her love of teaching and students made her the perfect person to supervise student teachers at both Boston University and Tufts University. She was also part-time lecturer and faculty liaison for the Tufts University and Malden Public Schools Partnership Program from 2001 – 2004.

She presently is a part-time teacher at Wakefield High School. Ms. Lind resides in Reading and is an active participant in that community. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield and for the Wakefield Center for the Performing Arts.
