Michael Byrne

Michael Byrne grew up in Malden and attended the Daniels Elementary School, Lincoln Junior High School and was a 1972 graduate of Malden High School. He was the captain of the Malden High Football Team and a member of the National Honor Society. He is happily married to Marie McGinley, an MHS graduate in the Class of 1971 and the proud father of Meaghan Byrne, a nationally recognized equestrian.

Michael graduated from Tufts University in 1976 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and received his Masters Degree in Public Management in 1979 from Suffolk University’s Sawyer Graduate School of Management. He has worked for twenty years at the senior management level of state government and is currently the Executive Director of an international foundation specializing in micro finance and teacher training.

Michael has also lectured at local colleges and universities on the topics of public finance and management. He is also a published author on those same subjects.
